Defu MRT Station is an underground station along the Cross Island Line (CRL) Phase 1. The new station is located underneath Tampines Road next to Defu Industrial Estate. It will conveniently connect the New Defu Industrial Park with Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Tampines, Loyang, and Pasir Ris. More than 100,000 households will benefit from CRL Phase 1, and common recreational spaces such as Changi Beach Park and Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park will also become accessible by public transport. Construction for CRL Phase 1 is expected to commence in 2020 and be completed by 2029.
